Days of Palestine – Gaza
Israeli naval forces opened fire towards a fishing boat offshore al-Sudaniya, northwest of Gaza city, injuring two Palestinian fishermen.
Local sources said that the occupation boats opened fire towards the fishermen's boats off the shore of the town's sea while they were practicing their work within the distance permitted by the occupation, which led to the injury of fishermen.
The fishermen were taken to the Indonesian hospital, east of the town, to receive treatment, where their injuries were described as slight to moderate.
According to the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Israel’s blockade of the coastal enclave has seriously undermined the ability of Gazan fishermen to make a living at sea.
The Israeli occupation forces regularly detain and open fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen, shepherds, and farmers along with the border areas if they approach the unilaterally declared buffer zone.
