Days of Palestine – Jerusalem
Israeli settlers in Jerusalem assaulted photojournalists, today, Wednesday.
According to local sources, settlers attacked the Jerusalemite photographers Mustafa Kharouf and Fayez Abu Rumaila, who work for the Anadolu Agency, while they were preparing a report in the "one hundred Shaarim" neighborhood in West Jerusalem, and smashed the windows of their vehicle.
It is to be mentioned that settlers in the same neighborhood attacked, last Sunday, the Jerusalemite citizen Ibrahim Hamed from the Wadi Al-Joz neighborhood, wounding him and causing damage to his bus.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
There are over 700,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
