Days of Palestine – Qalqilya
A young man was injured, yesterday evening, Tuesday after an Israeli settler ran him over near the village of Al-Fondq, east of Qalqilya.
Local sources reported that a settler ran over the young Anas Saeed Zaidan from the town of Deir Istia, west of Salfit, and fled.
The young man, Zidan, was left on the ground to be attacked by a number of dogs before he was taken to hospital.
The village of Al-Fandaq is exposed to attacks by settlers and the Israeli occupation army, as they call for gatherings and targeting of Palestinians and their property on the roads linking the cities.
Meanwhile, an Israeli settler tried yesterday morning, Tuesday, to carry out the crime of running over many citizens near the entrances north of Nablus.
On the twelfth of last month, citizen Bilal Shehadeh Bawatneh (52 years), from the village of Ajoul, north of Ramallah, was martyred, and two others were injured after being run over by Israeli settlers near the Ain al-Bayda junction in the northern Jordan Valley.
Recently, the Israeli settler attacks have escalated in the West Bank, throwing stones at citizens' vehicles, and attacking homes, lands, and properties protected by the Israeli occupation forces.
The settlers find the golden opportunity to escalate their attacks in light of the protection of the Israeli occupation soldiers, and their feeling of safety in movement and gathering on the main roads, which, years ago, they did not dare to move through except in processions guarded by the army.
