The Palestinian Prisoners' Club announced that a prisoner had been infected with the Coronavirus in Section (3) of the Negev Desert Prison, where 73 prisoners are kept.
The Prisoner Club stated, in a statement today, that the prison administration began closing all sections of the prison, after announcing the prisoner's infection.
The Club held the occupation prisons administration fully responsible for the prisoners' lives, especially the Negev Prison which is the largest prison in terms of the number of prisoners who remain in it, and their number exceeds 1,200 prisoners, among them the sick and elderly.
It is noteworthy that more than 140 prisoners have tested positive for the Coronavirus since the beginning of the epidemic, including two prisoners whose infection was discovered a day after their release.
The Palestine Center suggested in a statement yesterday, that the number of wounded prisoners in the same section would increase, especially since the infected prisoner had met with all his colleagues in the section.
