On Human Rights Day 2020, Huda Naim, the Legislative Council MP, called the international community and the United Nations, to support the rights of the Palestinian people that are violated by the Israeli occupation.
She asked for serious work to end the unjust Israeli occupation of the land of Palestine and to promote and protect human rights and fundamental freedoms that are universally recognized.
In a statement, Naim said, "The world today celebrates International Human Rights Day, and Palestine is still suffering from the longest racist occupation that practices the most heinous crimes and violations of the rights stipulated in international conventions against our Palestinian people."
Meanwhile, she asserted that the Palestinian people suffer from the Zionist crime on a daily basis, from killing innocent people, confiscating lands and building settlements, stressing the need for international laws not to remain just ink on paper.
She explained that the international silence on the crimes and violations that the Palestinian people are exposed to has encouraged the Israeli occupation to commit more crimes and considers itself above international laws and charters, calling for the prosecution of the Israeli war criminals in international courts.
