Two Palestinians have died and 333 new cases have been confirmed in Palestine as a result of contracting the coronavirus disease in the last 24 hours, in addition to 769 patients have recovered, today said the Ministry of Health.
It said in the daily briefing on the pandemic that with the two recent deaths, the total in Palestine has reached 80 since the outbreak of the disease in March. While only three deaths were recorded in East Jerusalem and one in Gaza, the remaining 76 were in the West Bank and mainly in the Hebron district in the south of the West Bank.
The Ministry said that 333 new cases were confirmed in various parts of the occupied Palestinian territories, including 180 in East Jerusalem, the new epicenter of the disease, while the Hebron district, the former epicenter, had only 25 cases, a sharp decline from the previous figures in the hundreds since early this month.
It said that the rate of recovery has reached 40.
