A Saudi court on Sunday prosecuted Palestinian and Jordanian citizens, who were arrested several months ago, over their support for the Palestinian resistance.
The indictment contained several charges including “joining a terrorist entity inside the kingdom and backing a terrorist entity through fund-raising”, referring to the role of some prisoners in providing charitable aid for Palestinian families in need, families of martyrs, and the resistance.
The prisoners include Hamas’ representative in Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Khodari, and his son Hani.
Hamas has called for an immediate release for the prisoners and said in a statement that “the crimes of the prisoners, according to the Saudi State Security Service, is supporting the Palestinian cause”.
