A number of Palestinian worshipers were injured and arrested by Israeli police forces following the Dawn Prayer at al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Friday.

Thousands of Palestinian worshipers for the second Friday in a row flocked to al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem, braving the cold weather and Israeli restrictions, to attend the Dawn Prayer.

Local sources said that the Israeli police forces assaulted the worshipers after the prayer, which led to the outbreak of confrontations inside al-Aqsa compound.

The Israeli police forces chased the peaceful worshipers in the mosque and attacked them with rubber-coated metal bullets. A number of worshipers were reportedly injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, the Israeli police violently assaulted the worshipers who were present near Hitta Gate and arrested a number of them.

The Israeli police further harassed the young volunteers whose mission is to provide help to the worshipers and seized the hot drinks they were preparing to distribute.

Before the prayer, the Israeli police forces installed makeshift barriers at the entrances to Jerusalem City to obstruct the movement of the buses carrying worshipers to al-Aqsa Mosque.
