Israeli occupation forces kidnapped 13 Palestinians in raids carried out across the occupied Palestinian West Bank on Tuesday night.
The Palestinians were kidnapped for being accused of “involvement in popular terrorist activities,” the Israeli occupation army claimed in a statement without elaborating.
According to the Israeli statement, the kidnapped Palestinians have been remanded into custody for further investigation.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society, for its part, said the Palestinians were kidnapped in raids on their homes in the West Bank cities of Bethlehem, Ramallah, Tulkarem and Jenin.
Israeli occupation forces frequently conduct wide-ranging kidnapping campaigns in the occupied West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians.
Official statistics show that more than 6,400 Palestinians are currently being held in Israeli prisons throughout the self-proclaimed Jewish state.
