Israeli occupation shuts down FM radio in West Bank

Days of Palestine -

Israeli occupation forces raided, ransacked and shutdown the Palestinian FM Al-Sanabel Radio in the West Bank district of Al-Khalil on Wednesday.

Palestinian sources said that the Israeli occupation forces also kidnapped the Palestinian journalists working in the radio, which is located in the city of Dura.

The Israeli occupation forces also destroyed the several heavy equipment in the offices of the radio station.

When they left the radio offices, the Israeli occupation forces stuck a closure order on them main door, claiming that the radio station is linked to a terrorist organisation.

A recent report has documented dramatic Israeli escalation of violations against media freedoms in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Spokesperson of the Israeli occupation army Avichay Adraee said in a statement in Arabic that the Israeli occupation had closed Al-Sanabel based on a military order that claimed the radio station is connected to a terrorist organisation and incites against Israel.
