Days of Palestine, West Bank-Israeli Prison Special Force, Masada, stormed Megiddo Prison on Monday night and violently assaulted Palestinian prisoners.
In a statement, the Palestinian Prisoner Club (PPC) said that the Masada stormed the prison, assaulted the prisoners and damaged their belongings.
The statement said that several prisoners were reported assaulted, but two of them were violently attacked and suffered several wounds.
According to the statement, the two prisoners are Rabei abul-Leel, the representative of the prisoners in Megiddo, and Mohamed Marshoud, who was wounded in the head.
To justify its raid, the Israeli Prison Service said that it only carried out a “routine inspection measure” in the “notorious” prison.
However, the PPC said that Palestinian prisoners in this prison staged protests over congestion of the prison in January, when a state of emergency was declared as prisoners in Department One refused to move to other departments.
Palestinian prisoners are routinely abused physically and verbally when they just call for their simple rights such as family visits, proper food, drinking water, treatment and other basic thing.
