Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip -Israeli occupation navy opened fire at Palestinian fishermen in the north off Gaza coast, kidnap ten and confiscated five fishing boats.
Official Palestinian sources in the Gaza Strip reported the firing at the fishermen, the kidnapping and the confiscation of the fishing buts. Meanwhile, they reported no casualties.
Spokesman of the fishermen syndication Nizar abu-Ayyash identified the kidnapped fishermen, noting most of them from the Zayid family.
Israeli occupation forces regularly attack Palestinian fisherman off the Gaza coast, kidnap them, confiscate and damage their fishing boats.
The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights said that the Israeli occupation forces kidnapped 71 fishermen and confiscated 22 fishing boats throughout 2015.
It also said that the Israeli occupation forces opened fire on fishermen at least 139 times over the course of the same year, wounding 24 and damaging 16 fishing boats.
The latest UN report about Israeli violations in occupied territories revealed that the Israeli occupation forces oblige fishermen to take their clothes off and swim towards their gunships before kidnapping them.
