Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli education ministry has decided to increase budgets of Jerusalem schools which teach Israeli Syllabus, Israeli source said on Friday.

Well-informed Israeli source said: “The Arab schools in East Jerusalem, which teach the Palestinian Authority (PA) syllabus, will not get the budget increase.”
He continued: “This means they will be deprived of a budget increase decided by the Israeli education ministry for all Jerusalem schools.”
The Israeli newspaper Haaretz said that this measure is part of an initiative proposed by the Israeli education ministry that is originally targeting all schools without looking at their syllabus.
In addition, the newspaper revealed that the decision, to have teaching a different syllabus as a reason to prevent budget increase, aroused wide range criticism, considering it “against educational, political and ethical criteria.”
