Days of Palestine, West Bank –Israeli settlers have uprooted on Sunday 1,200 olive trees, tens of almond, nut trees in the West Bank city of Al-Khalil.
Local sources said that the Israeli settlers uprooted and damaged more than 1,200 olive trees in addition to the almond and nut trees in Al-Wasily neighbourhood in east of Al-Khalil.
All of the trees were fruitful and the almonds and nuts are in the reaping season nowadays.
Palestinian activist Ghassan Daghlas said that the Israeli settlers who carried out the attacks on the Palestinian farms are living in the illegal settlers built on the lands of the occupied Palestinian city of Al-Khalil.
Daghlas said that the trees were planted as part of an agricultural project in the area funded by the EU.
He added: “The settlers have been carrying out such damages in order to pave the way for the expansion of the illegal settlements of Asfar and Bani Kadim.
