DaysofPal— Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported that the killing of Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip has become part of Israel’s daily routine, as Israeli occupation forces continue their genocide against the territory.
According to the report, at least 274 Palestinian children have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire agreement took effect in October 2025, an average of nearly one child every day.
The newspaper said more than 21,000 Palestinian children have been killed since the start of the Israeli genocide on October 7, 2023.
Most of the children were killed in Israeli airstrikes, while others died from sniper fire, collapsing buildings, or shrapnel, the report said.
It added that some children later died from wounds they had sustained because Gaza’s devastated healthcare system was unable to provide adequate medical treatment.
The report also noted that children who died from hunger or disease are not included in the official death toll.
Among the recent cases highlighted was Moataz Abu Shaar, a 10-year-old boy who was shot while inside a tent in the Al-Mawasi area. His father and brother had been killed months earlier.
The newspaper also cited Tala Abu Matar, a 9-year-old girl whose photograph circulated widely after her killing, illustrating the human cost of the Israeli genocide.
Haaretz described Gaza’s humanitarian conditions as continuing to deteriorate amid widespread destruction across the Strip.
The report estimated that about 1.7 million Palestinians are living in tents, facing severe shortages of electricity and clean water, while sanitation systems have largely collapsed.
It also warned of the growing spread of disease, with insects and rodents widespread across Gaza and tens of thousands of Palestinians suffering from skin diseases amid extreme summer temperatures and overcrowded living conditions.
