Days of Palestine, West Bank –A group of Jewish Israeli settlers desecrated on Thursday afternoon Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in the West Bank City of Al-Kahlil.
Local sources said that guards of the Mosque attempted to prevent the Jewish settlers from entering inside, but the heavy number of the Israeli troops escorted the settlers facilitated their entrance.
Zionist Jews claim that Al-Ibrahimi Mosque theirs and call it the Cave of the Patriarchs. They partitioned it between Muslims and extremist Jews several decades ago.
On February 25, 1994, the extremist Jewish Israeli settlers Baruch Goldstein opened his automatic fire at worshipers during Al-Fajr (dawn prayer), killed 29 Muslim and injured dozens more.
From time to time, Israeli authorities prevent Muslims from calling for the prayers in through the speakerphones of the Mosque.

They also sometimes close it and prevent Muslims from entering for days during Jewish holidays and celebrations.
Around 700 settlers live in 80 Palestinian homes in the city centre of Al-Khalil. They make much trouble to the Palestinians there.
The settlers are protected by the Israeli army in the tightly controlled city, where many streets are off limits to Palestinians.
