Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli Housing Minister Uri Ariel said on Friday that “Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem” are under Israeli sovereignty.
Posting on Facebook, Ariel defied Jordan after a senior Jordanian official had said one day before that his country is discussing to review the peace agreement with the Israeli occupation in response to the latter’s repeated violations against Jerusalemites and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
“As Amman is under the Jordanian control, Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem are under the full Israeli control,” he wrote on his Facebook page. “They [Jordanian officials] have to understand this very well.”
Threatening the Jordanians regarding the review of the peace treaty or showing anger over Israeli violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, Ariel said: “I am wondering whether they [Jordanians] have forgotten the six-day war (1967 war)?”
The remarks of this minister prove that the Israeli occupation does not interested in the internationally backed solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict –two-state solution.
