Days of Palestine, Gaza –Israeli occupation forces attacked on Thursday the only zoo in the Gaza Strip, killed most of the animals and birds.
The zoo is built in an open space and that proved the impossibility that any of the Palestinian fighters might have been hid inside or carried out any fighting act from or beside it.
Sami Hassan, the owner of the zoo, said: “Targeting the zoo proved that the Israeli occupation wanted to inflect as much suffering to the Palestinian as possible.”
At the end of the war, the Gaza children, who remain alive, will ask their parents, who remain alive, to take them to the zoo, but what will the answer be? It will be like this: the Israelis killed the animals. Stay home and watch National Geographic.
The children will ask: why did the Israelis kill animals? The answer will be: because you feel happy when you see them! And the open-ended questions will continue and the surprising answer also will continue.
