A group of Israeli settlers attacked on Monday, 6 March 2023 the occupied West Bank village of Hawwara, injuring dozens of Palestinian residents.
Local Palestinian sources reported that dozens of Israeli settlers under Israeli forces’ protection invaded the village of Hawwara and attacked the Palestinian properties, injuring at least 30 Palestinian residents and causing damage to other belongings.
A colonial Israeli settler opened fire at a Palestinian family’s vehicle in Hawara, causing severe damage and terrorizing a Palestinian child.
Palestinian media sources shared a video documenting the moments when Israeli settlers attacked the shops in the village of Huwara, south of Nablus. A Palestinian family miraculously survived the attack.
Meanwhile, Israeli illegal settlers backed by Israeli military troops conducted provocative dances in the streets of Hawwara village following the attack.
This attack was not the first, dozens of Israeli armed settlers on February 26 attacked Huwara and torched some 30 Palestinian-owned homes and more than 100 cars during the late-night rampage, in what appeared to be the worst outburst of settler violence in decades.
Tensions have escalated between Palestinians and Israeli colonial settlers amid intensified Israeli deadly military raids in occupied Palestinian territories.
Palestinian officials said this was the deadliest start to a year there since 2000. 64 Palestinians have been killed over the last two months across the occupied Palestinian lands.
