Scores of Israeli settlers invaded on Tuesday morning, March 7, 2023 the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed provocative rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces in preparation for the Jewish Purim Holiday.
Local sources in Jerusalem reported that tens of Israeli settlers broke into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and provocatively performed Talmudic rituals from the Al-Maghareba Gate area.
The Association of Palestine Scholars warned against the Israeli occupation forces and settlers organizing a large-scale storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque during the days of the current week, that according to recent statistics, 20 thousand settlers stormed the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque since the beginning of 2023, an increase of 15% from last year.
Israeli settlers carry out incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque and provocatively perform Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation authorities impose suffocating restrictions on the Palestinians’ entry to Al-Aqsa Mosque, regularly banning worshippers from entering the holy Mosque, especially amid the emergence of the new Israeli extremist government and the new regulations Ben Gvir imposes on Palestinians.
