DaysofPal – Israeli forces have carried out a large-scale arrest campaign across the occupied West Bank, detaining more than 120 Palestinians over the past two days, according to the Palestinian Centre for Prisoners’ Defence.
In a statement released on Sunday, the centre said the arrests were part of a “large-scale incursion campaign” targeting Palestinian civilians across multiple areas of the occupied territory.
The operations reportedly focused on the cities of Nablus, Tulkarm, and Hebron.
According to the statement, Israeli forces conducted extensive raids on homes, spreading fear among residents and, in some cases, damaging property and personal belongings.
Several Palestinians were reportedly subjected to on-the-spot interrogations that included physical assaults and other forms of mistreatment.
The centre also said that some of the raids were carried out in the presence of armed Israeli settlers, who accompanied the forces under military protection during the operations.
The organisation said the latest wave of arrests reflects an escalation in what it described as policies of collective punishment against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
It also raised concerns over the continuation of such campaigns, warning that the arrests and the alleged abuses constitute serious violations of international humanitarian law and fundamental human rights standards.
The organisation called on the international community to take urgent action to protect Palestinian civilians and to hold those responsible for the reported violations accountable.
