Several rallies took place in different Arab and Islamic countries to commemorate Quds Day on Friday and express solidarity with the Palestinian people, on April 14, 2023.
Thousands of Palestinians in Gaza City took part in a rally coinciding with Quds Day, raising Palestine flags and signs of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The rally, which was called by the Palestinian factions, came to express support for Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque in light of the systematic Israeli attacks against the Holy City.
Gaza’s protests coincided with rallies in the Palestinian refugee camps in Syria and Lebanon. Media sources reported that large crowds of Palestinian refugees participated in the rally.
A parade was held in Iran by the Islamic Republic where dozens of Iranian expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people, burning the Israeli flags.
In Yemen, dozens joined in a vigil in Sana’a, raising Palestinian flags and signs supporting Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Palestinian people, and their right to resistance.
In addition, tens of Bahraini people organized a rally, during which they express their condemnation of all kinds of normalization with the Israeli occupation.
Since 1979, Quds Day is marked on the last Friday of Ramadan each year. On this day, calls are renewed for supporting and protecting Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
