Israeli occupation forces IOF quelled several Palestinian marches in the occupied West Bank, injuring dozens of protesters on Friday, April 14, 2023.

According to local sources, the Israeli forces quelled protesters who participated in anti-settlement protests in the occupied West Bank cities of Qalqilia and Nablus.

In Nablus, The Israeli forces suppressed the weekly march of Beit Dajan. At least forty protesters suffered tear gas inhalation.

Meanwhile, the Israeli forces attacked protesters in Jabal Subaih and Beita with tear gas canisters, assaulting Palestinians and injuring several.

Moreover, confrontations broke out in Qaryout village, south of Nablus, after Israeli settlers invaded the area under IOF’s protection, attacking Palestinians with tear gas grenades.

In a related incident, Israeli occupation forces shot and injured three Palestinians, including a child, after attacking the Kafr Qaddoum march in occupied Qalqilia.

On Fridays, Palestinians in several parts of the occupied West Bank join in anti-settlement marches to protest against the Israeli settlements’ expansion, which swallowed mass areas of their lands.

Several days ago, about 200 Israeli settlers, guided by seven ministers, invaded Jabal Subaih to demand the Israeli government legalize the Eviatar settlement.

Confrontations broke out in Jabal Subaih as Israeli occupation forces fired tear gas grenades and injured at least 120 Palestinian protesters.

The right-wing Israeli new government aims at expanding settlement in the occupied West Bank, which Palestinians reject and protest against. The new government has announced multiple settlement projects since the start of 2023.
