Protected by Israeli occupation forces, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday, September 12, while the Palestinian worshipers’ access to the mosque has been restricted.
The settlers stormed the mosque and performed provocative tours and Talmudic rituals near the Bab al-Maghariba area, stated the Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli troops were reportedly deployed in the area to secure the settlers’ incursion into the mosque.
They continued to prevent Palestinian worshippers from entering the Al-Aqsa mosque, provocatively checking their ID cards and detaining some of them at the mosque’s external gates.

Semi-daily, Israeli settlers invade Al-Aqsa and provocatively perform Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, aiming to impose a temporal and spatial division in the sacred site, which the Muslims and Palestinians reject and decry.
In August 2023, at least 3891 colonial Israeli intruders stormed the mosque and performed Talmudic provocative rituals in its squares, according to Palestinian figures.
Earlier in June, media sources revealed a new Israeli proposed plan to divide Al-Aqsa Mosque between Jews and Muslims, which deprives Palestinians and Muslims of their rights to this Islamic site.
