Israeli settlers set up a new settlement outpost on Saturday, 6 May 2023 near the town of Mukhamas, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces.

As reported by Palestinian eyewitnesses, dozens of colonial Israeli settlers have seized Palestinian land in the town of Mukhamas, northeast of Jerusalem, and established a new outpost in an important strategic and geographic location.

There are more than 700,000 colonial settlers spread across 164 illegal settlements and 124 outposts built on stolen Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.

Based on international law, all Israeli settlement-building activities in the West Bank and Jerusalem are illegal.
