Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) razed Saturday, May 20, 2023, large areas of Deir Al-Hatab lands, east of occupied Nablus.

The official in charge of the settlement file in the northern West Bank, Ghassan Douglas, stated that the occupation bulldozers curried out bulldozing work in the lands east of Deir al-Hatab in favor of the expansion of the “Alon Moreh” Israeli settlement, which was built by force on the village lands.

Douglas stated that the continued confiscation of Palestinian lands would increase the loss of more than 8,000 dunams belonging to the people of Deir Al-Hatab in favor of the establishment of new Israeli settlements recently.

Settlers’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank, as this includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on homes.

There are over 700,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of International Law.
