Israeli occupation forces continued Wednesday, February 15, 2023, to impose strict restrictions on the Palestinian citizens in the Shuafat camp, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, as part of the policy of collective punishment against the Palestinian people.
Local Palestinian sources reported that the occupation forces at the Shuafat military checkpoint impeded the movement of the camp residents and neighboring areas, especially students, and to their places of work and schools.
They added that the Israeli forces beat a defenseless Palestinian student at the checkpoint and subjected him to humiliating searches.
As well, a large number of camp residents waited for long periods before being allowed to cross the military checkpoint, which caused them to be late for their work, amidst the intense deployment of the Israeli occupation forces.
