Israeli occupation forces IOF kidnapped 17 Palestinians from various parts across the West Bank, including 6 former prisoners from Jenin on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
The Israeli forces invaded Jenin’s towns Jaba, Ajjah, Al-Sila Al-Harithiya, and Al-Yamun, arresting six Palestinian ex-detainees, as reported by Palestinian local sources.
In the early hours of Wednesday, IOF stormed several homes in Jenin, conducted searches, and tampered with their contents. They also confiscated the vehicle of the prisoner Ahmad Nimer Mlaysha.
From Nablus, Israeli forces arrested student Amjad Hajazi from An-Najah University, former prisoner Saeed Bakr Bilal, Ibrahim Daghlas from the town of Burqa in the north, and Bilal Ishtaya from the town of Tall.
In Al-Khalil, Israeli forces arrested Abd Arar from Beit Ummar in the north, Baha Ashrawna from the town of Dura in the south, and student Ibrahim Farid Al-Nawaj’a from Yatta.
Furthermore, Israeli troops detained Amar Manaa from Tulkarm and the injured Anwar Isam Abd Al-Ghani and Ahmed Shafiq Abd Al-Ghani, both from the town of Sida in the north.
In Ramallah, Israeli forces arrested the young man Ihsan Al-Raymawi from the town of Beit Rima to the west, after raiding and searching his home.
Israeli forces conduct near-daily raids and arrest campaigns throughout the West Bank, causing an atmosphere of anxiety, terror, and insecurity among Palestinian families.
Notably, the IOF executed a series of detentions in July, arresting 380 Palestinians, comprising 45 minors and 10 women. These campaigns took place across the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, as documented by the Palestinian Center for Prisoners’ Studies.
