Israeli Army Kills Five Palestinians Trying to Return to Northern Gaza

The Israeli army had blocked displaced people’s way to the north of Gaza, killing a group of residents, on Sunday.

At least five Palestinians were murdered and many others injured this afternoon after Israeli occupation forces opened gunfire targeting hundreds of Palestinians, including children, trying to return to their homes in northern Gaza via Al-Rasheed road.

The families took the initiative this morning and embarked on returning to the north of the Gaza Strip despite the dangers associated with this move.

The Israeli occupation army had permitted entry of some families late yesterday who have successfully crossed the Israeli checkpoint separating northern from southern Gaza. However, many others were met with a barrage of fire today which claimed their lives.

In the aftermaths, Israeli fighter jets purposefully launched mock raids across the Middle area and Al-Rashid road to prevent thousands of displaced Palestinian civilians from returning to their homes in northern Gaza.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza said the Israeli occupation committed four massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 43 martyrs and 62 injuries reaching hospitals in the past 24 hours. Dozens of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense teams.

Since October 7th last yeat, the Palestinian death toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 33,729 martyrs and 76,371 injuries.
