Two Palestinians were killed on Monday evening in a brutal attack carried out by Israeli settlers, who were protected by the Israeli occupation forces, against residents of Aqraba town south of Nablus.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health’s General Authority for Civil Affairs reported the deaths of two citizens by settlers’ gunfire in Khuzat Al-Tawil area, part of Aqraba district.
The Authority identified the martyrs as Abdul Rahman Maher Bani Fadel, 30, and martyr Mohammed Ashraf Bani Jame, 21.
Local sources reported that settlers launched an attack on the residents’ homes and shepherds in Al-Tawil in Aqraba, with 50 settlers participating under the protection of occupation forces.
As locals tried to confront the settlers’ attacks, live ammunition was fired at the Palestinians by occupation soldiers, resulting in the deaths of the two young men and the injury of two others.
The Red Crescent Society stated that its teams transported three injured individuals to the hospital due to the assault.
Meanwhile, occupation soldiers continue to detain the bodies of the two martyrs, refusing to hand them over to the Red Crescent teams.
In recent days, attacks by settlers and occupation soldiers in the West Bank, especially in Nablus and Ramallah governorates, have escalated, resulting in the deaths of four citizens and the injury of dozens, some of whom are in critical and serious condition.
In a brief statement, the Health Ministry stated that four Palestinians have been killed while 60 others have been injured as a result of the Israeli settlers attacks on the occupied West Bank since last Friday.
Since October 7, Israeli settlers and forces escalated their attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the killing of 464 Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
