Israeli Apartheid Against Palestinians Rises in 2023

S.K | DOP -

The Palestinian people as well as pro-Palestine activists around the world revive today, March 13, 2023 the annual Week of Resistance to Israeli Colonialism and Aparthied, where activities normally take place from March 13 to March 27 in more than 300 cities around the world, calling on international human rights activists, movements, groups and progressive organizations that fight all forms of injustice, racism, marginalization and persecution to work toward ending Israeli aparthied.

The Israeli occupation is currently brutally pursuing the only consistent strategy in the settler-colonial project of Palestine; That is, the strategy of plundering and colonizing the largest possible area of Palestinian land, along with the gradual ethnic cleansing of the largest possible number of Palestinian people that make it possible to avoid any international sanctions.

Since the beginning of 2023 alone, Israel has killed more than 68 Palestinians, while the Israeli brutal regime is ruthlessly intensifying its system of oppression and domination against Palestinian civilians, so that the mask falls off the face of the settler-colonial system with the rise of the new fascist far-right extremist Israeli goverment.

According to Amansty Interntional, a series of deadly attacks has underscored the urgent need for accountability. On 26 January, Israeli forces carried out a raid on Jenin refugee camp and killed 10 Palestinians, including a 61-year-old woman. Israeli authorities also have stepped up collective punishment against Palestinians, carrying out sweeping mass arrests and threatening punitive home demolitions.

It’s noteworthy that On 1 February 2022, Amnesty International released a report  setting out how Israel enforces an institutionalized system of oppression and domination against Palestinians  wherever it has control over their rights: in Israel, the OPT and against displaced refugees by denying their right to return.

It also showed how Israeli laws, policies and practices enacted with the overarching aim of maintaining a Jewish demographic majority, and maximizing control of land and resources to benefit Jewish Israelis to the detriment of Palestinians.
