DaysofPal – The Israeli Occupation Forces announced it carried out more than 100 airstrikes across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, as intense bombardment and ground operations continue to devastate large parts of the besieged territory.
Fighting has been particularly fierce in eastern Gaza City, where Israeli forces pressed forward with widespread demolitions and bulldozing in the neighborhoods of Al-Zaytoun and Al-Shuja’iya. Artillery fire also struck the upper floors of Al-Shawa and Al-Hassri Towers in central Gaza City, though no injuries were reported in those specific incidents.
The Israeli army claimed the strikes targeted “terrorist organizations,” while also confirming ongoing ground advances across the enclave, especially in its northern regions, including Jabalia, Beit Hanoon, and the already devastated neighborhoods of Shujayea and Zeitoun.
Palestinian medical and civil defense teams, however, are struggling to keep up with the scale of destruction and death. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli forces committed eight massacres against families in the past day alone, killing at least 63 people and injuring 114 more. Many victims are still trapped under rubble or lie in the streets, unreachable due to the relentless shelling.
The death toll from Israel’s assault on Gaza since October 7 has now reached 58,026, with 138,520 reported injuries, according to the ministry.
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli warplanes bombed several areas, including Deir al-Balah, where medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital confirmed that multiple civilians were killed, including two doctors. Eyewitnesses reported limited incursions by Israeli military vehicles northeast of Deir al-Balah, accompanied by bulldozing operations.
The Jabalia refugee camp and surrounding areas were subjected to a particularly intense barrage, with over 100 airstrikes reported. The strikes targeted homes, roads, and open spaces, coinciding with an Israeli ground advance in the eastern sector of the camp. Witnesses described scenes of chaos and fear as thousands of residents fled westward toward Gaza City in a desperate attempt to escape the bombing.
In Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, Israeli airstrikes destroyed at least two houses, killing and injuring an unspecified number of people. The blasts sent thick plumes of smoke into the sky and caused widespread damage to nearby homes, according to residents.
Mass displacement continues on a large scale across northern Gaza, with streams of civilians fleeing their neighborhoods under fire. Entire families have been forced to leave their homes with little more than what they can carry, seeking shelter in increasingly overcrowded and unsafe zones to the west.
