DaysofPal — The Hamas Movement reaffirmed its full commitment to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, announcing new administrative steps aimed at transferring governance to a national committee.

The Movement said it remains fully committed to implementing all terms of the ceasefire and will continue to do so until administrative control of Gaza is handed over to the National Committee for Gaza Administration.

As part of these efforts, Hamas confirmed the dissolution of the Government Emergency Committee.

It also announced the resignation of its head, Mohammad Abdel Khaleq Al-Farra, who had been serving in an acting supervisory role.

According to the Movement’s statement, these measures are part of broader administrative and legal preparations intended to facilitate a structured and orderly transfer of responsibilities to the national committee.

Hamas emphasized that the move aligns with ongoing efforts to fully implement the ceasefire agreement and ensure continuity in governance.

The Movement said the transition is designed to enable the national committee to assume its duties in Gaza as soon as possible, to stabilize administrative functions and support daily life in the territory.

However, Hamas warned that the process could be undermined by the continued Israeli attempts to obstruct the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas added that the Israeli occupation is seeking to create an administrative vacuum in Gaza, which would worsen humanitarian conditions and hinder recovery efforts.

Hamas called on mediators and guarantor states involved in the ceasefire agreement to intervene urgently.

It urged them to apply pressure to ensure that the agreement is implemented without obstruction and to facilitate the entry and operation of the national committee in Gaza.

The Movement stressed that enabling the committee to begin its work is essential for restoring stability, strengthening civilian resilience, and alleviating the ongoing hardships faced by Gaza’s population.

The ceasefire agreement, reached after prolonged Israeli genocide, remains fragile, with repeated Israeli violations that have killed over 1072 civilians since it started.
