DaysofPal- Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continued their daily ceasefire violations on Wednesday, as a child was wounded in Khan Younis and renewed artillery shelling targeted areas in eastern Gaza City, according to local sources.
Medical sources said a child was injured by Israeli gunfire south of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
Israeli warplanes also launched an airstrike on eastern parts of the city, while additional demolition operations were reported against residential buildings east of Khan Younis.
In Gaza City, artillery shelling struck eastern neighborhoods, and Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire in central districts, residents said.
Gaza’s Government Media Office stated that Israeli forces have committed 1,620 violations of the ceasefire agreement over the past four months since it took effect.
The office described the incidents as serious breaches of international humanitarian law and noted that the Israeli occupation is deliberately undermining the agreement and its humanitarian provisions.
According to the figures released, the recorded violations include 560 incidents of gunfire, 79 ground incursions into residential neighborhoods, 749 cases of shelling and direct targeting, and 232 demolitions of homes and other structures.
Officials said the violations have resulted in 573 deaths, including 292 children, women, and elderly people, as well as 281 adult men. They reported that civilians account for approximately 99 percent of those killed.
In addition, 1,553 people have reportedly been injured, including more than 954 children, women, and elderly individuals. Civilian casualties also represent more than 99 percent of the wounded, according to the data provided.
The latest incidents come amid growing tensions despite the ceasefire agreement, which was intended to halt hostilities and enable the delivery of humanitarian assistance across the Gaza Strip.
