DayofPal—Israeli occupation forces, on Sunday, began carving a settlement road on Palestinian land in the village of Battir, west of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers started construction in the “Al-Hanajliya” area west of Battir, linking the road to an existing settlement outpost established on nearby Palestinian land.
The work is part of ongoing settlement expansion in the area, which residents say threatens to seize additional agricultural lands and further restrict Palestinian access to their property.
The western Bethlehem region has recently seen a rise in settlement activity, particularly around the villages of Battir, Al-Walaja, and Beit Jala.
In a related development, Israeli bulldozers also uprooted and destroyed hundreds of olive trees in Zububa village, west of Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that the clearing operations affected large agricultural areas owned by local Palestinian residents.
Residents say these attacks are part of continued settlement expansion and land confiscation practices targeting Palestinian farmland and private property across the region.
