Israeli occupation forces IOF detained 430 Palestinians in September 2022, the Palestinian Center for Prisoners Studies reported.
According to a PCPS report issued earlier on Monday, Israeli occupation forces detained about 430 Palestinians, including 42 children and 20 women, in September 2022.
The report pointed out that Israeli occupation forces escalated the arrests in occupied Jerusalem as the number of Palestinians detained in September reached 160.
It added that Israeli occupation forces detained 9 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, four of which are Palestinian fishermen.
Riyad Al-Ashqar, director of the Palestinian Center for Prisoners Studies, stated that Israeli occupation forces systematically targeted Palestinian children by detaining and keeping them under house arrest.
IOF detained 42 Palestinian minors, Al-Ashqar said, adding that a Palestinian child with special needs was detained in September 2022 near Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in occupied Hebron.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces issued 197 administrative detention orders, ranging from two to six months against Palestinians, 121 of which were renewals of previous orders, according to PCPS.
The center pointed out that 30 Palestinian administrative detainees continue their open hunger strike in protest of their administrative detention.
