The Palestinian Authority has proved over the years its non-adherence to the liberation and post-Oslo generations in Palestine, and practiced ‘security coordination’ with the Israeli government for over seven decades to evade away the belief “freedom is attainable.” Palestine’s national media outlets boiled with rage at the leadership that is not Palestinian nor an authority, explaining that Israel is not an ally to establish security with, as it has been colonizing the Palestinian people and depriving them of human rights aggressively and publicly.
The PA’s president Mahmoud Abbas’ representation of the Palestinians is 12-year expired, yet he claims to structure new forms of unarmed struggle by time-killing sitdowns with the Israeli apartheid government. Such handshakes and coordinations should wholeheartedly not be welcome by the Palestinian Authority. Rather, amplifying the demands of freedom of the Palestinian prisoners illegally behind the bars, confronting the world’s complicity, facing the US’ imperialism and back up to Israel, and rejecting the abstract 70-year long negotiations are what should be, instead.
Similar to the world’s concept when the context relates to Palestine, the PA reads the story vice versa: killing innocent children and civilians, arresting thousands of no charge political activists, deliberately practicing systematic apartheid and deprivation of human rights, and ethnically cleansing native people of their land and erasing their identity is self-defense. Strangely enough, Palestinians protesting for freedom at the death fences before a heavily armed military is terrorism. Amidst both stand the Palestinians solid and cling onto all the means accessible to express their rejection and valid right of resistance. Israel’s coordination with the PA is a masquerade of politics and bad-will diplomacy — it plants a settler-colonial and oppressing agenda crafted by both regimes that strike at the trenches of the liberation movement and the Palestinian struggle and break them in half.
The case of arbitrary detentions of Palestinian political activists calling on for justice, equality, and freedom stressed the fact that Palestine is not a state that is ruled by political divisions or disorder, but rather a unified base of national resistance against the military subjugation of both systems in control of the people’s little tiny details of daily lives. This subjugation has been passed down to the people from one generation to the next, worsened by the defensive military support of the occupation’s state’s international and regional partners.
Israel’s theft of Palestinian land, culture, physical, and media presence currently is crystal clear and amounted to taking place midday with unceasing impunity at an international level and political and military aid worth billions of dollars for the PA. This impunity includes breaches and violations to remain complicit in uprooting the Palestinian voices demanding freedom and social and political rights. The Israeli government’s cruelty has never been more obvious, on the other side, whether that of the police or the law bodies in Jerusalem against the native people of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, or the army’s brutal attacks on the unarmed civilians, children, and women in Gaza.
Since 1948, the people of Palestine are up in arms to fight the corruption of both leaderships of Israel and the PA to deliver a bold belief: today’s struggle is a continuation of the resistance that erupted in 1948 against ethnic cleansing and apartheid. It has been surging on since the Palestinians were dispossessed from their homes whose keys they keep custody of since, despite the violence and hardship that only get worse on a daily basis in the simplest forms of life routine. Pain and tragedy are the cost of apartheid and two fascist systems in power, and yet they sacrifice to navigate their nativity within the fragmented parts of Capital Jerusalem, the West Bank, and all of their historic Palestine, in conjunction with mere dreams and hopes for good days to come along with human rights however.
Palestine’s generation of the 20s is split in half, one killed after lifetime remembered sacrifice to carve a livable future for the next ones to come, with liberty in their home. Their children, those whose childhood is marginalized, left orphaned with no sufficient health sector or education opportunities. As for the other half, it’s the one that guides those children and fellow generations only by hopeful dreams and yearning towards the feeling of laughing and bickering at the sea, just for the sake of laughing and bickering, while there is occupation never more.
Two halves, and still so young enough. They are young to have held their strength together upon the piles of sorrow and heartbreak to anticipate a future worthy of the challenges and the sacrifice lived and seen ahead. And they are so old too; those are the people who witnessed countless strategies of harm by the occupation by which they were dispossessed and massacred and who lived the ongoing attacks and destruction of their birthplaces every small round of days.
Our lives today are tied to inconstant political dynamics that are just for the worse, but we shed no surprise to see our officials demand no justice or equality, but further support of Israel’s illegitimacy and authoritarianism. The definition of Palestinians wanting to establish secure, longstanding peace is oftentimes misreported to the world; still, they emphasize that there is no room for peace with the Israeli settlers who would shoot us when we chant ‘Free Palestine’, while their military dispossesses the Palestinians families so that Jewish occupiers ones can take over our land. After all, peace is so much needed but impossible to apply.
Palestine’s decolonization is the role of its defenders and protectors. Only those steadfast and solid will liberate what they see home. Not once were the colonizer’s promises more than lip services to the population of Palestine. Ongoing years of Palestinian political incompetency have propelled the national resistance and struggle and made clear that the Palestinians only who are in the driver seat of their destiny; they maintain unity and strength at the time the occupation practices stupidity and aggressiveness.

Palestinians reject the ‘talks’ between the colonizer and the obsolete leadership of Ramallah and flare hope up in the darkness of life and reject the option of despair, hopelessness, and paralysis. They dare tell the days to keep on coming, despite the hardship, tragic losses, and the lifelong reminders that they are besieged with war as a perpetual reality.
Palestinian officials seizing the opportunity of having power and flying around to make the world pity us and display a fragile reputation for Palestine is not what the people consider moral resistance.
