DaysofPal – A new massacre unfolded in northern Gaza early Thursday as Israeli airstrikes leveled three adjacent homes sheltering displaced families in Jabalia Al-Balad, killing and injuring over 100 people in one of the deadliest attacks in recent days.

The targeted homes belonged to the Al-Asaliya family and were located near the Omari Mosque in the heart of the overcrowded Jabalia refugee camp.

Palestinian medical sources confirmed that many of the victims were women and children, with survivors pulled from under the rubble and rushed to the already overwhelmed Al-Maqadmi Hospital.

Simultaneously, the home of the Al-Zabda family in the nearby Al-Mukhabarat area was hit, causing further casualties, including missing persons, while multiple streets and residential blocks across Jabalia have been under near-continuous bombardment for days.

Elsewhere in the Gaza Strip, at least five people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a house in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. In the city’s Al-Shati camp and along Al-Jalaa Street, 15 more Palestinians lost their lives as intense air raids struck populated areas. Al-Shifa Hospital reported dozens of injuries in those attacks.

In Khan Yunis, in the southern part of the Strip, six Palestinians were killed when Israeli forces targeted civilians waiting for aid on Al-Tina Street. Witnesses described the aftermath as devastating, with body parts strewn amid scattered food supplies.

By midday, field reports indicated that the death toll from Israeli strikes since the early hours had climbed to at least 77, including 55 in Gaza City and the northern region alone. These latest attacks come amid a relentless assault that has continued unabated for more than eight months.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, backed by the United States, has resulted in what Palestinian officials and human rights advocates have described as an ongoing genocide.

Over 185,000 people have been killed or injured, the majority of them children and women, with more than 11,000 still missing under the rubble. Entire neighborhoods have been destroyed, famine is spreading, and hundreds of thousands remain forcibly displaced.
