Hamas Official Asserts Group’s Resilience Despite Leader Deaths

A senior Hamas official has emphasized that the Palestinian group remains resilient despite the targeted killings of its leaders. Basem Naim, a prominent member of Hamas’s political bureau, stated that the Islamic movement, driven by a quest for freedom and dignity, cannot be eradicated through such actions.

Naim refrained from confirming the death of Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar but highlighted that the deaths of several Hamas leaders in the past have only served to increase the group’s popularity. He suggested that Israeli strategy of targeting leaders is based on a misconception that it would end the movement and the Palestinian cause.

According to Naim, each assassination has only strengthened Hamas and made its leaders symbols for future generations, continuing the journey towards a free Palestine.
