DayofPal—Israeli army bulldozers and armored vehicles have reportedly advanced toward eastern Shuja’iyya neighborhood in Gaza, threatening civilians’ lives.
the advancement moves the so-called “Yellow Line” barrier to within approximately 20 meters of Salah Al-Din Street, a major highway in the Gaza Strip.
According to local reports, the Israeli forces carried out extensive land leveling and reconstruction work around earth barriers and concrete blocks as part of efforts to reinforce a military-controlled zone in the area.
The advance was accompanied by heavy gunfire from machine guns and snipers positioned in newly established military posts near Mount Al-Muntar, causing fear and panic among displaced families sheltering in tents around Shuja’iyya.
The reported move has raised concerns over further expansion of Israeli-controlled areas inside Gaza and increased restrictions on civilians’ access to their homes and lands.
The developments come amid ongoing disputes over the implementation of ceasefire arrangements and the positioning of Israeli forces inside the Gaza Strip.
