DaysofPal- Fifteen international human rights organizations have warned of the “possible complicity” of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)—a U.S. and Israeli-backed entity—in committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip. The groups have called for the immediate suspension of its operations, citing what they described as the “bloody chaos” surrounding its aid distribution efforts.
In an open letter, the organizations stated that the armed and unsupervised foundation operates outside of UN oversight and follows an inhuman model that puts Palestinian civilian lives at risk.
The letter also criticized the GHF for lacking neutrality and transparency and urged all funders and supporters to immediately halt their engagement with the organization, warning of potential legal accountability for complicity in war crimes.
Among the signatories to the letter were the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, and the International Commission of Jurists.
On Tuesday, the Gaza Government Media Office released a shocking toll of victims related to what it described as “death traps” surrounding U.S.-Israeli aid distribution centers operating since May 27, 2025. The office said that the vast majority of victims were starving civilians attempting to reach these centers amid Gaza’s deepening humanitarian collapse.
According to the statement, 516 civilians have been killed, 3,799 injured, and 39 reported missing while trying to access food, due to deliberate Israeli targeting of crowds at these aid points. The office warned that these attacks represent a systematic policy of starving and killing Palestinians seeking basic survival.
“This is a fully documented humanitarian crime,” the office stressed, calling for urgent international action to stop the violations and ensure safe, dignified access to aid for besieged civilians.
Separately, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that the total number of casualties from Israel’s ongoing genocide since October 7, 2023, has risen to 56,077 killed and 131,848 wounded.
In the last 24 hours alone, the Ministry reported 79 deaths and 289 injuries, amid continued Israeli bombardment across the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry also noted that many victims remain under rubble and on the streets, unreachable due to ongoing attacks and the inability of rescue teams to access them.
It added that since the aid distribution began on May 27 through the controversial “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation,” the death toll of Palestinians waiting for aid has reached 516, with more than 3,799 injured, including 49 killed and 197 injured in just the past 24 hours—a result of what the Ministry described as deliberate targeting of civilians awaiting U.S.-backed aid.
Operating without UN or international humanitarian supervision, Israel began distributing limited aid through GHF on May 27, a move rejected by the United Nations but backed by the U.S. and Israel.
Since that date, Israel—with American support—has escalated its genocidal campaign in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction, and displacement, all in defiance of international calls and International Court of Justice orders to stop.
