DaysofPal – Two Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Tuesday as Israeli occupation forces carried out fresh attacks across the Gaza Strip, according to local reports, in ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement.
In the southern city of Khan Younis, Ali Yasser al-Adini was killed after being shot by Israeli forces near Hamad City, northwest of the city.
Elsewhere in central Gaza, Khamis Jweifel was killed and two others were wounded shortly after midnight when an Israeli drone struck a security post in the Al-Farouq neighborhood of Al-Zawaida. The injured were transferred to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Israeli occupation forces continued military activities across several parts of the enclave, carrying out extensive demolitions east of Khan Younis and east of Gaza City while also conducting artillery shelling and gunfire attacks targeting multiple locations along Gaza’s eastern areas.
The latest incidents followed a day of heavy military operations on Monday, particularly in central and northern Gaza. Yusuf Ramadan was killed and another person was seriously injured when an Israeli drone targeted a motorcycle in the Block 9 area of Al-Bureij refugee camp.
A child was also reported to have been seriously wounded by Israeli drone fire southeast of Al-Bureij camp. Additional injuries were recorded after an airstrike targeted a group of Palestinians in northern Gaza, while artillery shelling and gunfire east of Gaza City caused further casualties.
Israeli occupation forces fired live ammunition and artillery shells toward various areas in eastern, northern, and southern Gaza. Military helicopters also opened fire on locations situated behind what is known as the “Yellow Line” east of Khan Younis, Gaza City, and Al-Bureij refugee camp.
Israeli naval vessels, meanwhile, targeted coastal areas west of Rafah and Khan Younis in southern Gaza, as well as sections of the shoreline west of Gaza City, using both gunfire and missile attacks.
According to local reports, Israeli occupation forces carried out 16 demolition operations in eastern Khan Younis, particularly in the towns of Bani Suheila and Abasan and in the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood.
In northern Gaza, dozens of homes and civilian properties were reportedly set ablaze in the eastern areas of Jabalia refugee camp. Large flames and thick columns of smoke were seen rising over parts of the northeastern Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in its latest update that, since the ceasefire was announced on October 10, at least 935 Palestinians have been killed and 2,868 injured. The ministry also reported 781 bodies recovered from previously inaccessible areas during the same period.
According to the ministry’s cumulative figures, the overall death toll since the start of the Israeli genocidal campaign on October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,942, with 172,967 people injured.
Health authorities added that an unknown number of victims remain trapped beneath rubble or stranded in areas inaccessible to rescue teams. Ambulance crews and civil defense workers continue to face significant difficulties reaching affected locations because of ongoing security risks and the destruction of infrastructure.
