DaysofPal – Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign across the occupied West Bank overnight and into the early hours of Tuesday, detaining more than 30 Palestinians, including four university students and several former prisoners. The raids were concentrated primarily in the governorates of Tulkarm and Nablus.
In Tulkarm, Israeli occupation forces arrested 13 Palestinians, among them several former detainees, including Adnan al-Hasri, Mahmoud Saidi, Ahmad Hamdan, Mohammad Saeed Shalabiya, and Rajaei al-Amouri.
Other detainees included Nihad Salim; Youssef Shalabi from the town of Attil; Alaa Shaheen from the suburb of Irtah; Osayd Aref from Nur Shams refugee camp; Yazan Jarrar; Abada Shadid from the town of Allar; and university lecturer Alaa Abdul Hadi from Tulkarm city.
In a separate operation, an Israeli special forces unit arrested former prisoner Abdul Latif Nafea Hamdan from the Al-Sawana neighborhood of Tulkarm.
In Nablus, Israeli troops raided the village of Surra, southwest of the city, detaining nine residents after searching their homes. Those arrested were identified as Yamen Khaled Abu Hussein, Zubaid Saud Tarabi, Mohammad Nabil Ghanem, Hilmi Ayman, Karim Muhannad Ghanem, Ayman Wasfi Tarabi, Khalil Wasfi Tarabi, Mohammad Akram Tarabi, and Karim Mundhir Tarabi.
Israeli occupation forces also arrested Taher Samaanah from the town of Beita, south of Nablus. During a raid on the New Nablus neighborhood, troops confiscated the vehicle of former prisoner Osama Halawa.
University Students Among Those Detained
In the Ramallah and Al-Bireh area, Israeli forces arrested four female university students following raids on their homes.
The detainees were identified as Natalie Abu Dayyeh, Jolan Abu Awwad, and Sama Safi, all students at Birzeit University, along with Layla Nayel Khalil from the town of Beitunia.
Israeli forces also detained two young men from the village of Abu Shukheidim and another from Deir Abu Mashal, northwest of Ramallah, after searching their homes.
In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces arrested four young men in the Hebron area. The detainees included Mahmoud Hani Abu Ghazi and Ammar Nidal Abu Ghazi from Al-Arroub refugee camp, as well as Ghazi Fawzi Abu Ayyash and Muadh Aziza from the town of Beit Ummar north of Hebron.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Media Office said the arrests reflect a continuing policy of targeting various sectors of Palestinian society through escalating daily detention campaigns. The office noted that the latest arrests included university students, former prisoners, and young men from several West Bank governorates.
In a statement, the office described the arrests as part of a broader policy of collective punishment carried out by Israeli occupation forces. It urged international human rights organizations to take action regarding what it characterized as ongoing violations against Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
