The European Union condemned on Sunday, February 12, 2023, the Israeli settlers’ killing of the Palestinian youth, Mithqal Rayan, in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, west of Salfit.

“We are saddened that there is another victim of settler violence, Mithqal Rayan, who was killed yesterday in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan. The Union strongly condemns settler violence and is concerned about their escalating attacks,” the European Union said.

“This kind of senseless violence will exacerbate an already tense situation, and it must stop,” It added. “A swift and transparent investigation is needed and the perpetrators must be brought to justice.”

The young man, Mithqal Suleiman Rayan, 27, died yesterday evening, as a result of being shot by an Israeli settler in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan.

On daily basis, Palestinian citizens are exposed to attacks by the occupation forces and Israeli settlers, in violation of all international humanitarian rules and laws.

In a related context, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced, on Sunday, February 12, 2023, the murder of the Palestinian child, Qusay Radwan Waked, 14 years old, as a result of severe wounds sustained by Israeli live bullets during an Israeli military incursion on the city of Jenin.
