DaysofPal – Local sources reported on Monday that several Palestinians were killed and others injured after a house collapsed in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza. The building had been previously damaged by an Israeli airstrike, leaving it structurally unsafe before its eventual collapse.
In the southern Gaza Strip, south of Khan Younis, Israeli occupation forces simultaneously destroyed several buildings and launched artillery shelling in areas they controlled. Israeli artillery fire also targeted the eastern areas of the Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
Israeli forces continued to destroy residential buildings in areas of their deployment in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza City. These demolitions coincided with a recreational and psychosocial support event for children being held at a nearby shelter close to the so-called “Yellow Line.” The powerful explosions triggered panic and fear among children and women attending the activity.
In addition, Israeli drones dropped explosive containers on several homes located outside the occupation army’s deployment zones east of the city. Heavy artillery shelling and gunfire were also reported in the Al-Zaytoun and Al-Shuja’iya neighborhoods, east of Gaza City, from Israeli military positions.
On the humanitarian front, Amjad Al-Shawa, head of the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network in Gaza, said that approximately 900,000 displaced Palestinians are living in extremely harsh conditions inside deteriorating tents.
Al-Shawa stressed that tents are not a solution to a displacement crisis that has persisted for more than two years in the Gaza Strip.
It is worth noting that on September 29, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 20-point plan aimed at ending the war on Gaza. The plan included provisions such as the release of Israeli captives, a ceasefire, the disarmament of Hamas, an Israeli withdrawal from the Strip, the formation of a technocratic government, and the deployment of an international stabilization force.
The first phase of the agreement came into effect on October 10, 2025. However, Israel has continued to violate several of its terms and has delayed moving to the second phase.
The agreement was supposed to put an end to a genocide carried out by Israel over a two-year period beginning on October 8, 2023. The assault has resulted in more than 71,000 Palestinians killed and 171,000 wounded, most of them women and children. Despite the agreement, Israel continues its violations and maintains a suffocating siege on the Gaza Strip to this day.
