DaysofPal- Palestinian civil society groups say Israeli occupation forces are continuing to block the entry of approximately 6,000 trucks carrying vital humanitarian supplies into the Gaza Strip, worsening an already dire humanitarian situation.
Amjad Al-Shawa, director of the Palestinian Non-Governmental Organizations Network (PNGO), said Gaza’s population is currently confined to no more than 90 square kilometers of the territory, warning that ongoing restrictions are denying civilians the most basic means of survival.
Al-Shawa stated that the blockade has severely restricted access to essential goods.
He added that acute fuel shortages have forced many humanitarian and public services to operate at minimal levels.
He said that the Israeli restrictions continue to prevent sufficient quantities of food, medicine, medical equipment, relief supplies, and shelter materials from reaching the enclave.
Gaza is home to an estimated 2.4 million Palestinians, around 1.5 million of whom have been displaced, and has remained under an Israeli blockade for more than 18 years.
While the first phase of a ceasefire and humanitarian agreement took effect on October 10, 2025, Palestinian officials and aid organizations say the Israeli occupation has failed fully to implement its commitments and has delayed the transition to the second phase.
The agreement was intended to end a two-year Israeli genocidal war in Gaza, which Palestinian sources say killed more than 71,000 people and wounded at least 171,000, the majority of them women and children.
Aid groups say that despite the ceasefire, the Israeli occupation continues to enforce what they describe as a crippling siege on the territory.
