Coinciding with International Quds Day, thousands of protesters gathered today Sunday, April 16, 2023, in London to voice their opposition to Israel’s crimes against Palestinian worshipers and the continued brutal occupation of Palestine and its people in the annual Al-Quds Day Rally.
The annual Al-Quds Day Rally, organized by the Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC), appears to carry on as one of the most extremist governments ever seen in Israel ignites a religious war against Palestinians under its control.
IHRC managed to gather around 12000 to 14000 protesters marching to the streets, that participants assembled outside the Home Office (2 Marsham St, London SW1P 4DF) at 3 pm, April 16, 2023, before marching to Downing Street, where they heard speeches by prominent anti-apartheid guest speakers
The protest this year took place against a backdrop of an unprecedented increasing number of human rights organizations labeling the Zionist state as an apartheid state due to its clearly unjust treatment of Palestinians living inside of 1948 borders as well as those who are subjected to occupation and blockade in the West Bank and Gaza.
Among the several organizations that have categorized Israel as an apartheid regime are: Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territory, and the Israeli organization B’Tselem, putting Israel in its right place as a political system based on racial domination.
The Al-Quds Day demonstration normally occurs in the midst of stepped-up efforts by proponents of the Israeli colonial regime to silence pro-Palestinian voices in political and popular culture.
Throughout the past years, pro-Palestine individuals and organizations have experienced mudslinging and vilification on a global scale in an effort to silence their criticism of the Israeli illegal regime.
It’s worth mentioning that there are more than 100 Palestinians Israel has killed since the beginning of 2023, along with numerous other injuries and hundreds of illegal detentions, as they resist the unending Israeli attempts to impose an even more cruel colonial barbaric system.
