Palestine registers 2,142 new coronavirus infections, 15 deaths

Days of Palestine – Ramallah

Palestine recorded 2,142 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, 15  deaths, and 2169 recoveries, according to the daily update on coronavirus by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The health minister said 12 deaths were registered in the West Bank, two in occupied Jerusalem, and one in the Gaza Strip.

The minister indicated that the new cases were recorded as follows: “Hebron 426, Nablus 366, Qalqilya 72, Tulkarm 183, Bethlehem 145, Jenin 131, Salfit 69, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 285, Tubas 40, Jerusalem suburbs 56, Jericho and Al Aghwar 25” Gaza Strip 70, Jerusalem 274.

Alkaila said that the new recovery cases were divided according to the following: “Hebron 403, Nablus 162, Qalqilya 124, Tulkarm 65, Bethlehem 181, Jenin 54, Salfit 88, Ramallah and Al-Bireh 428, Tubas 46, the suburbs of Jerusalem 92, Jericho 48, Gaza 100, Jerusalem 378."

The health minister said 177 patients of coronavirus remain under intensive care, of whom 49 are on ventilators.

Alkaila pointed out that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far stood at 89.3 percent, while active cases scored 9.6 percent. Deaths stood at 1.1 percent of total infections.
