The staggering figure highlights the devastating toll of the ongoing conflict, with many victims—including children—suffering life-altering injuries due to Israeli airstrikes and the collapse of medical infrastructure.
Health officials warn that with hospitals overwhelmed and medical supplies blocked at border crossings, thousands more risk losing limbs to untreated injuries and infections.
The WOH has called for urgent international action to ensure access to trauma care and rehabilitation for Gaza’s wounded population.
