Israel Orders New Military Plan to Block Gaza Aid After Tribal Leaders Successfully Secured it

DayofPal– Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced a new military directive on Wednesday to prevent aid from reaching Gaza again, ordering the army to prepare a plan within 48 hours.

Netanyahu said he would block aid trucks to “prevent Hamas from taking control over them.”

The announcement comes after reports that Gaza tribal leaders and units from the Sahm forces, tasked with protecting humanitarian aid convoys, have recently succeeded in securing a limited number of trucks delivering aid and reached them to World Food Program (WFP) warehouses.

Sahm teams reportedly repelled looters, who were backed by the Israeli army. The aid is intended to be distributed through the World Food Programme (WFP).

In Response to Netanyahu’s claims, the Higher Commission for Tribal Affairs issued a resolute statement rejecting Netanyahu’s claims about the latest securing and distributing of humanitarian aid in Gaza.

They described his claims as baseless and misleading accusations, asserting that all aid entering Gaza is fully secured and directly overseen by the tribal councils, with exclusive distribution carried out by recognized international organizations.

The Commission also called on the United Nations Security Council to dispatch an urgent and independent delegation to witness firsthand the distribution process on the ground, verifying its integrity and transparency.

Critics accuse Israel of exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. By restricting aid, protecting armed groups, and allowing aid theft, Israel is said to be fostering desperation among the population.

This drives starved Palestinians toward American-Israeli aid centers (GHF), which have reportedly become deadly traps.

Over the past month, these centers have witnessed repeated violence. According to Gaza Government Media Office, between May 27 and June 25, Israeli forces reportedly killed 549 Palestinians, many of them starved civilians, including women and children, attempting to access food.

An additional 4,066 were injured, while 39 people remain missing, many believed to be buried under rubble or kidnapped amid the chaos.

According to eyewitness accounts and footage, Israeli forces opened fire on crowds near aid sites, targeting unarmed civilians, some shot while fleeing. Snipers, drones, tanks, and cranes reportedly engaged these desperate crowds from a distance.

Human rights groups have warned that these so-called “aid centers” are being weaponized in the ongoing genocide.

Since March, Israel has completely sealed off Gaza, blocking food, water, and medical supplies. This policy has driven the population into famine conditions.

International observers and UN agencies have repeatedly called on Israel to lift the siege and establish safe humanitarian corridors. However, the Israeli government has instead increased its military presence around aid convoys, intensifying the already dire situation in Gaza.
